Now there is a headline that ought to inspire huge readership. I've got a technical problem. I can't get a links menu that works up on this page. I can get the links menu to show up but none of the links actually work. I have no idea how to do that. I'll have to ask for some help.
My friends Wes Beal and Chris Drew both have blogs. Wes has some good stuff in his archives about living in Africa. Chris is a knee-jerk right winger (there really aren't any other kind of right-wingers, are there?)who is now in seminary in Austin. He's a very good guy even if his political views are mostly wrong. You should be able to get to their blogs by clicking on their names.

Hi Carter,
ReplyDeleteAre you having trouble with html or with Blogger? A typical link should look like this:
Some Website
You can also have the link open in a new window by adding target="_blank" to the tag, right after the closing quotes, and before the >.
If you are looking for the right html to get what you want done, try finding an example website, and viewing the source code of that site. Typically your web browser will have this option under the "View" or "Edit" menu.
If the problem is with blogger, I'm unable to offer any help.
Ooops!
ReplyDeleteI'm having a hard time right this minute remembering the correct tags to tell a browser to ignore the html.
Again, you can view the actual html by viewing the source code of the page you are curious about.
However, since you are able to include links in your post, you don't seem to be having trouble creating a link.
If you need someone to help, feel free to send me an email with the problem you're having.
Thanks Wes! I think I got it figured out but I do need to go in and see if I can get the links to open in a new window.
